Speak, Lord, For Your Servant Is Listening...

Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD: The word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him. A third time the LORD called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”
Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
And the LORD said to Samuel: “See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle.
 1 Samuel 3:7-11

God can call us anytime when he wants and in a lot of ways. But most of the time we are too preoccupied, too busy, we let the worries of the world eats us thus we failed to recognize his voice calling us. Constant PRAYING will help us to recognize his calling.
So be ready, pray with all your heart always so that when that moment comes again like Samuel, you can say, "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening".

As you reflect, listen to this song "Here I am Lord"....

  1. Oh Ferdinand,
Do you know that this is one of my favorite songs at church? I adore this song and always have. I came over here and I saw this, and I'm so glad that I did. I have a friend who has been very negative lately. I was starting to get upset with the whole situation. I didn't know what to do. Now I know what to do, and I want to thank you for this special post, my friend. Happy day to you.

  2. I think I'm going to show my friend more love and understanding. Maybe that will help them to see the world in a positive light.

  3. Yup, you're right. Being a good example to them will definitely help. And always give them your sweetest smile most especially during the hard times :)
